Basic Violet 1 is used for dyeing and printing cotton, wool and silk. The product is mainly used for non textile colouring and can also be used to make organic pigments and solvent dyes can also be used for paper, leather, bio staining, as well as for colouring and marking of film and varnish.
Properties of Basic Violet 1 Dyes
● Soluble in cold water and hot water, soluble in ethanol for purple. The strong sulphuric acid dyes to orange, diluted turn green, have precipitation.
